In the early fifties, Erich Kästner was commissioned by a magazine to write a nature poem once a month. Thus, these thirteen poems of a city dweller for city dwellers were created. Poems in which Kästner brings nature to life with a lot of wit and poetry, making the eternal cycle of the seasons visible.

Martin Seidler is one of the most well-known faces of SWR television and has been working for SWR since 1991.
