A duo that transcends genre boundaries and celebrates music in its purest form. Max Mutzke, one of Germany's most distinctive voices, combines stage presence, down-to-earth nature, and humor in an unparalleled way. In this special duo format, he presents himself reduced, intimate, and yet powerful.
He is accompanied by the exceptional Cuban pianist Marialy Pacheco, whose virtuoso and sensitive playing provides the perfect framework to present Mutzke's songs in their purest form: voice meets piano – reduced, intense, and yet incredibly multifaceted. This special musical partnership elevates Mutzke's songs to an entirely new level, as they have been elegantly and diversely rearranged.
The joy of both musicians in making music together is audible and palpable. The idea for this project arose spontaneously at a festival where both artists met by chance. Enthusiastic about each other, not only did a collaboration on Pacheco's album "DUETS" come to life, but also the standalone program "Unsere Nacht." To quote Max: "While all the songs in the program are mine, they have found their way into the ear, through the heart and out of Marialy's hands, resulting in entirely new, unique versions. Humorous interactions with the audience and exhilarating moments make every concert an experience.
