Hike around the Bismarck Tower in Ingelheim

At the Bismarck Tower on the Westerberg, numerous hiking trails converge, uniquely connecting nature, culture, and history. Whether geology, landscape experience, historical traces, or military history – a diverse range of discovery opportunities unfolds here.

Ms. Mechthild Kern from VG Gau-Algesheim will guide you through the area surrounding the Bismarck Tower, explaining the special features of the trails and providing exciting insights into the landscape and its history. Along the way, you will learn how nature and culture are intricately woven together in a small space and what stories the region has to tell.

The hike, lasting about 1.5 hours, not only offers exercise in the fresh air but also a deeper understanding of the characteristics of the landscape and the historical backgrounds of the surroundings. In the end, participants will return with new impressions, expanded knowledge, and a heightened awareness of the diversity of local nature and culture.

Join us to experience the Westerberg on April 24, 2026, at 5:30 PM (meeting point Bismarck Tower) from a completely new perspective. Registration for this special hike can be done at tourismus@vg-gau-algesheim.de.
