RHEINHESSEN LIEST: 10 Jahre Angekommen

Ten years ago, the former migration and integration officer of Worms, Elisabeth Gransche, had the idea to survey people from different countries of origin about how they have settled into their new home. What hurdles did they have to overcome? What opportunities did they seize? 21 immigrants were eager at that time to be portrayed by the photographer Stefan Blume and the journalist Ulrike Schäfer. This became the book "Angekommen." Promise Kliebe and Sohrab Arash Ransur, who were part of it back then, will look back in a conversation with Ulrike Schäfer and share how they have fared in the meantime. Ulrike Schäfer has been working as a freelance journalist and author in Worms for over 35 years. She believes it is important to clarify what an enrichment migration can be at a time when remigration is publicly discussed.
