RHEINHESSEN LIEST: Volker Gallé & Klaus Rink - Lesung mit Musik

Between 1798 and 1802, the writer Friedrich Christian Laukhard, born in Wendelsheim, depicts forms of barbaric rule in his satires, from the deception of the population by the ducal princes to the abuse of the revolution for personal interests. Klaus Rink from Mainz and Volker Gallé from Mauchenheim recount the courageous and yet uncomfortable positioning of the late Enlightenment thinker based on Laukhard's biography and excerpts from his texts. The program is complemented by contemporary songs. The event is being held in cooperation with the Friedrich Christian Laukhard Society e.V.
