Siefersheimer Bänkelcheswanderung

It's that time again!

On the last Sunday in September the Siefersheim winegrowers and the "Siefersheimer Kräuterhexen" cordially invite you to explore the 8 km circular trail "Bänkelches-Route".

From 11 am to 6 pm, a day full of nature experiences, culinary delights and regional wines awaits you. Along the route and in the village, you will find numerous stands where you can enjoy the best Siefersheim wines and delicious food. Bring your own glasses or purchase stylish wine glasses at the "am Gänsborn" parking lot.

On your hike, you will cross the idyllic heathland as well as the impressive wine and cultural landscape, which is lovingly tended by the winegrowers, sheep and goats. The quarry stone dry stone walls that line the route are particularly worth seeing. The landscape around Siefersheim was once formed by the primordial sea, the Mainz Basin. The cliffs, sandbanks and islands that have formed over thousands of years, as well as fossil finds such as shark teeth, still bear witness to this today.
