Every German can name two phone numbers as if it were a reflex. Of course, the emergency number 110. And naturally, the 32 16 8. That's the Munich number for Rosie, popularized by the Spider Murphy Gang. "Scandal in the Prohibited District" was a massive hit in the early 1980s, and the Spiders, as fans lovingly call them, are still on stage throughout the country with this and many other tracks ("Where Are You", "I Look at You"). This also includes their performance on April 12, 2026, at the kING in Ingelheim. Additionally, it will be an acoustic concert – something truly special.
The Schwabinger boys demonstrate with this unplugged concert that they are not just a simple pop band or New German Wave combo. Their exploration begins with the early 20th century and harmonizes wonderfully with some of their own hits. Therefore, you will find not only the tried-and-true songs of the Spiders but also covers of Elvis, Chuck Berry, Hank Williams, as well as Canned Heat or Rocco Granata. This is extraordinary for the band, considering they originally started as a traditional and puristic rock 'n' roll band.
The combo wears their new face well: frontman Günter Sigl takes on the role of entertainer and musical guide – to recount anecdotes and special experiences. Guitarist Barney Murphy impresses with his acoustic instrument, Willie Duncan shines on anything with strings. Pianist Ludwig Seuss dazzles with Boogie Woogie and Jazz. And brass player Otto Staniloi skillfully handles his instruments both softly and powerfully. Andreas Keller and Dieter Radig, who complete the Spider Murphy Gang, provide the right rhythm for the concert with their various percussion instruments.
In doing so, the Bavarian combo creates an almost intimate atmosphere, as if the band were sitting on the living room couch of the listeners.
