Still Collins (Genesis und Phil Collins)

“A long long way to go” wrote Phil Collins in 1985 on his third solo album. At that time, he surely had no idea that 10 years later a few crazy music students would set out to faithfully cover his songs with a new band. Why would he? Who would listen to 2 hours of live music from a band that only covers ONE artist? Today we know better, as the tribute band scene, which Still Collins continues to lead, has become an integral part of the concert landscape in music clubs, town halls, and theaters across Europe.

Still Collins has given over 1700 concerts in 30 years, and still, 4 out of 7 musicians have been on stage since the founding. This is evident at every single concert in the incredible routine with which the band plays together, brilliant sound, and a polished performance from the first to the last song. It goes without saying that even die-hard fans of the original can hardly tell any acoustic difference between the “tribute” and the “master.” Trust your eyes, they say, because he is, of course, not the one. But trust your ears, and you will believe he is!
