With "Morrison Hotel," one experiences a musical flashback right into the wild flower-power world of the late sixties. Impactfully, classics such as "Light My Fire," "Break On Through," "Riders On The Storm," "L.A. Woman," "Roadhouse Blues," "When The Music’s Over," and "The End" are presented. But lesser-known songs by the DOORS like "Universal Mind," "Ship Of Fools," and "My Eyes Have Seen You" also belong to the repertoire. "The Morrison Hotel" not only plays the DOORS live, they perform the DOORS. Not least, the impressive performance, as well as the vocal quality of the frontman, contribute to this. His voice contains nearly all the facets that characterized Jim Morrison’s voice. Sometimes clear and alluringly hypnotic like young Jim, who could fade out everything excessive in the room with this voice, then again hearty, rough, and composed like the later, bluesy Mr. Morrison. Countless concertgoers have already been taken on a mystical time travel into the rebellious world of the DOORS with much pathos, keeping alive the musical memory of one of the legendary American rock bands and are also happy to be called back for encores even after a 3-hour set :-)
Cast: Erik Klingenberg (vocals) Jörg Jungbluth (guitar) Gunter Baumann (bass) Benjamin Krämer (drums) Thomas Vogt (organ, bass & piano)
