The son of a conductor actually wanted to become a pianist and wrote preludes, dances, and character pieces during his music studies in Leipzig, which are partly emotionally romantic and partly bring a smile with the lively humor of his poems.

Wolfgang Nieß connects these amazing little masterpieces of Heinz Erhardt with suitable cheerful poems and interesting insights into the biography of this great humorist.
