At home on the go: Hike through the Lenneberg Forest

Why travel far when there is so much to discover "right at your doorstep"? The culture and wine ambassadors invite you to a autumnal hike through the Lenneberg Forest on October 17, 2025. The circular path for nature lovers passes by pines and chapels, stops at the Lenneberg Tower and the Waldthausen Castle, and offers surprising views and insights on the Budenheim Golf Course. A little Rheinhessen poetry and a small refreshment (pretzel, a glass of wine, water, juice) are also included.

Please remember to wear weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear. The path leads through uneven forest trails, and basic fitness is required.

Meeting point for the hike is at 1:00 PM at the 14-Nothelfer Chapel, Kapellenstraße, 55124 Mainz-Gonsenheim (parking available).

Participation costs €15. The hike concludes around 6 PM.
