The ultimate wine taste duel: "Hibbe or Dribbe"?

Who has the better wines – Rheinhessen or Rheingau? At the great wine taste duel as part of the anniversary program “Experience Wine Culture – 275 Years of Jakob Gerhardt,” the audience decides!

On October 24, 2026, two strong teams will compete against each other in the Sironasaal of the Wein- und Parkhotel Nierstein: Team Rheingau with Wolfgang Junglas from the Rheingauer Wein Bühne Oestrich-Winkel and Team Rheinhessen with wine journalists Thomas Ehlke and wine discoverer René Harth. Each team will present eight wines for the taste race – a total of 16 wines will be available for tasting.

And who will win? That will not be decided by a jury, but by the audience itself. During the comparative wine tasting, the wines will be tasted and directly compared. In the end, it will be: Who wins - "Hibbe or Dribbe"?
