To kick off the Niersteiner Winzerfest, the Great Quality Wine Tasting will take place in Niersteiner Park on Thursday, July 30, 2026, starting at 7.00 p.m. The Verkehrsverein Nierstein, as the organizer, puts a lot of thought into an interesting wine theme each year in advance. This year's mysterious motto is “BlindDate #3”.

Have you ever experienced something similar? You sit in a wine tasting, and the tasting guide describes in colorful and intense detail how the wine in your glass tastes. And how it smells, which tasting notes are recognizable, and much more. You might wonder here and there what all is hidden in the glass.

To enable you to smell and taste the wine without knowing which one you have in your glass, Toby Bieker has been offering blind tastings for many years. So look forward to your “BlindDate #3” with Niersteiner and Schwabsburger wines. This blind tasting is taking place for the third time on the eve of the Winzerfest.

Toby Bieker, queen of wines moderator and marketing manager from Nierstein, will be accompanied by wine expert and long-time chairman of the association “Wine from the Red Slope e.V.”, Konstantin Guntrum.

The proven musical accompaniment will be provided by the Duo reLounge with singer Ully Mathias and pianist Alex Mathias. They present modern entertainment jazz, stylistically hovering between pop-funk and chill bar jazz.

Entry is from 6.00 p.m., the wine tasting starts at 7.00 p.m.
Admission: 39,- Euro per person including festival glass.
