Wonnegauer Wine Walk in Westhofen – Experience vineyards, wide views, and wine culture

On Friday, September 4, 2026, cultural and wine ambassador Yvonne Gassmann invites you to the Wonnegauer Wine Walk in Westhofen. The start is at 5:00 PM, meeting point is the parking lot at Am Nickelgarten, 67593 Westhofen.

The guided tour lasts about 2.5 hours and takes you straight into the Westhofen vineyards. Along the way, participants enjoy not only impressive panoramic views over Rheinhessen but also learn interesting facts about the work in the vineyard, the significance of the Wingertsheisjer, and the long winemaking tradition of the area. Exciting insights into the special Westhofen locations – known for their soils and microclimates – make the tour an experience for all the senses.

Accordingly, wines from Westhofen winemakers, reflecting the terroir and diversity of the region, will be served at three stations. Expertly explained, the wines can be tasted directly among the vines. There will also be a small snack, so that physical well-being is not neglected.

The Wonnegauer Wine Walk is a format that took place for the first time in 2025 in Bechtheim and has since gained great popularity. It entertainingly combines wine knowledge, nature experience, and cultural history – and shows how vibrant the cultural heritage of Rheinhessen is.

Tickets cost 25.00 euros per person.
