At the hiking car park Am Gänsborn in Siefersheim begins the access to the entrance on the edge of the vineyards. Partly accompanied by vineyard walls, it goes up to the Höll, an important nature reserve in the region.
On the way to the Ajaxturm a varied mixture of cultivated vineyards and original areas provides for a delightful path scenery. After the tower, on the approach to Neu - Bamberg, the slopes of Galgenberg and Mühlberg add special accents with striking cairns (Rosseln).
We come close to such a rock thrush, before it goes down on an ancient Wingertspfad to Neu-Bamberg. With its historic center and the imposing castle ruins, Neu-Bamberg is worth a detour. There is also another trail parking lot, which can be used as an entry point, as well as a connection to the neighboring Hiwweltour Eichelberg.
Next on the Hiwweltour Heideblick it goes straight uphill to a picturesque view of the castle ruins Neu-Bamberg. After a shady path descent the tour in the Appelbachtal valley uses the old railway track, which we follow to the Katzensteigermühle.
On idyllic paths, the climb to the Mühlberg is effortlessly mastered and crowned at the Adler Monument with a great view over the nature reserve Neu-Bamberger Heide. In the following section you are in the middle of the magnificent heath landscape. The icing on the cake of this tour is the Winzeralm, which not only offers a resting place with "Rheinhessen's Most Beautiful Wine View 2016", but also serves delicious vine juice on weekends in the summer.
After this climax, the path heads for the table of wine with another panoramic view, before passing some vineyard houses and going straight through the vineyards back to the starting point.
