The ferryboat "Helene" connects Gernsheim in Hesse with Eich in Rhineland-Palatinate at Rhine kilometre 461.5. It can carry up to 28 cars and has been in operation since 2015. The Landskrone ferry, built in 1966, transports passengers, cars and bicycles from Nierstein to Kornsand and back. The ferry departs every 30 minutes, and there are separate lanes for waiting passengers away from normal road traffic.
