Experience the Cultural Courtyard Together - Our Story
Everything started with a sad story. The previous owner "Inge," who was a "grandma" for our children, passed away in a tragic traffic accident. In her house, culture and community continue. As Cultural Courtyard Oma Inge gUG (non-profit entrepreneurial company), we pursue the following purpose: Promoting social and cultural life in Schornsheim
Promoting international attitudes, tolerance in all areas of culture, and the idea of international understanding. Promoting international and intercultural encounters. Civic engagement for charitable, benevolent, and church-related purposes.
We achieve this through:
Conducting cultural events (concerts, readings, plays, children's theater, exhibitions, and more) Continuing education and encounter opportunities in the form of courses for children and adults Community events and creating meeting opportunities through international cooking evenings and breakfasts Support for other charitable organizations. Our primary goal is to make our offerings accessible and affordable for everyone. Many of our offerings are financed exclusively through donations. Everyone gives what they want and can. We want to build a bridge between young and old, rich and poor, and different nationalities. For this reason, we keep our cultural program and course offerings as diverse as possible and provide opportunities for both professionals and amateurs to present themselves and further their education. All of this is realized in the rented spaces of the Cultural Courtyard in our “Artist House” as well as in the theater barn, which seats about 70 people. We also make our spaces available free of charge for German courses for refugees.
