RHEINHESSEN LIEST: Volker Gallé & Klaus Rink - Lesung mit Musik

Between 1798 and 1802, the writer Friedrich Christian Laukhard, born in Wendelsheim, depicts forms of barbaric rule in his satires, from the population deception of the ducal princes to the abuse of the revolution for personal interests. Klaus Rink from Mainz and Volker Gallé from Mauchenheim narrate, based on Laukhard's biography and text excerpts, the brave yet uncomfortable positioning of the late Enlightenment thinker. The program is supplemented by contemporary songs. The event takes place in cooperation with the Friedrich Christian Laukhard Society e.V.
