Genusswerkstatt Atrium Mainz

The Genusswerkstatt Mainz is a small gourmet restaurant in the Atrium Hotel Mainz, focusing entirely on a shared culinary experience. The evening begins for all guests at the same time, creating a special atmosphere from the very first moment. The open, personal design of the restaurant fosters closeness between the kitchen, service, and guests.

Chef Helge Straub-Schilling develops menus that place regionality and sustainability at the center. The ingredients come from selected producers, with whom the restaurant works closely. On Wednesdays, a six-course menu is served, while an eight-course menu is available from Thursday to Saturday. A vegetarian menu is also available upon prior request.

The menus are accompanied by an extensive wine list curated by sommelier Maike Witfang. The focus is on German wines, particularly Riesling, as well as a remarkable vintage depth. This results in carefully coordinated combinations of food and wine that enhance the evening.

The Genusswerkstatt is a destination for guests who value artisanal precision, high-quality products, and a consciously designed enjoyment experience. Through the shared menu concept and personal attention, an evening is created that remains memorable for a long time.
