Cultured enjoyment and “Woi muss soi”….in the heart of Rheinhessen
For the first time in 2002, in conjunction with the 1st Bremserlauf event in Zornheim, the Kulturscheune opened its doors and gates. The goal was to offer organic wine/juice and vegetarian food over several weekends each year, as well as to present art and culture. Delicious vegetarian dishes artistically created by chefs, along with self-grown organic wine (ECOVIN), now delight not only the residents of Zornheim. HerrBert’s Kulturscheune has become a “cult-like” place for various forms of culture, connected with the typical Rheinhessen way of life – known and loved far beyond the borders of the town.
The range of cultural offerings is as colorful as it is diverse: lectures, readings, and book presentations take place, as well as cabaret and music events of all kinds. Unique are also the performances of an ensemble of “Alphorn players.” Numerous artists and bands, preferably from the region ( if not directly from Zornheim, such as Stefan & Friends), have been regularly showcasing their talents on stage for over 20 years now. Depending on the weather, events can take place both inside the barn and in the yard outside.
On the weekends of the harvest festival, HerrBert's Kulturscheune usually offers an Open Stage on Sundays. Beginners as well as skilled performers can try their hand.
