With this water pressure-operated double basket press, Gundersheim symbolizes its wine-growing history, which stretches back well over twelve centuries and was first documented with the donation of a vineyard in 769 AD. Almost 270 hectares of the approximately 800 hectare area of Gundersheim are still planted with vines today. Gundersheim gained a special reputation for its red wine.
