The Nikolaushof winery is now run by the 5th generation of the Hattemer family. Over the last 20 years, the current owner Klaus Hattemer and his wife have expanded the winery to its current size of around 19 hectares.
From the former, for Rheinhessen quite typical, mixed farm with a lot of fruit growing and only about 5 hectares of vineyards, the couple has built up a wine-growing business, which regularly receives awards for the quality of its wine and sparkling wine.
