To be honest, the Selztaldom is not a cathedral at all. But because the Protestant parish church in Großwinternheim protrudes so majestically into the area, we call it that.
The parish church was built in 1888 in neo-Romanesque style. Today it is a memorial and is still actively serving the Church. It is located above the Selztal on a hill and shapes the landscape around Großwinternheim from afar.
The interior of the Selztaldom was decorated with an Art Nouveau painting from 1911, has original glass windows in the apse and signs of the zodiac on the crossing arches of the tower area.
