Philosophy
To preserve old traditions, inherited knowledge, and valuable historical vineyard sites while simultaneously bringing the courage for renewal. In this long-established family winery, Dr. Roland Hinkel represents the 17th generation of Hinkels at the helm, and he is exceptionally dynamic. Yield reduction and environmentally friendly cultivation methods produce fresh, terroir-driven white wines and elegant red wines, some of which mature in new barrique barrels to become sustainable specialties. They are particularly proud of the selection wines, as well as the noble sweet dried berry selections.
Special Features
Lease a vine from Dr. Hinkel for yourself or as a gift. The leased vine receives a plaque with name engraving. The lessee can enter the vineyard at any time to check on the development of their vine, help with the harvest, or be guided through the vineyards by the culture and wine ambassador Hedda Hinkel.
