The Wingertshäuschen was built in 1914 by the owner of the vineyard, Wilhelm Michel, and was subsequently lovingly maintained. After his death in the 1930s, the vineyard and Wingertshäuschen came into the possession of his godchild, Wilhelm Frieß. After World War II, the vineyard was abandoned, and gradually the property and Wingertshäuschen fell into a Sleeping Beauty-like slumber, and at some point, no one knew exactly where the Wingertshäuschen was located.

After a long search and some scratches caused by dense blackberry bushes, the cultural and wine ambassador Emmy Frieß eventually found it and recognized the potential of the place, restoring it through private initiative, partly with the help of a local company and partly through neighborhood assistance.
