The Old Transformer Tower in Sulzheim connects history, art, and nature on three levels. For more than 50 years, the building served the transformation from medium to low voltage, thus ensuring the power supply in the village. With the underground laying of all cables in 2009, the tower lost its technical function and was subsequently sold. A private individual took over the building with the idea of creating a place for encounters. Today, the Transformer Tower hosts public exhibitions as well as events featuring art and music. Additionally, it serves as a pilgrimage accommodation, while specially installed nesting boxes provide a home for kestrels and jackdaws. The adjacent garden has also been redesigned and integrated into the event concept. In memory of its original use, the building again bears its historic name "Old Transformer Tower."
