Born in Kreuznach, Friedrich Müller was stylistically and literally a wanderer between worlds. As a painter, draftsman, and poet, his work heralded the Romantic era. Like many poets and artists of his time, he was drawn to Rome. The Museum Schlosspark focuses on his early work, especially his engravings with themes from mythology, characterized by their soulful realism and line work. His Arcadian landscapes, as well as ancient and biblical motifs, are also presented. The museum's collection will be enriched with numerous loans for the 200th anniversary of his death.
