Die Weibsbilder

The Weibsbilder are guests in Dexheim with their new program "Abstellgleis – Anschluss verpasst." And anyone thinking of naked truths, unvarnished realities, or ruthless self-irony is absolutely right. The audience can look forward to a true world premiere: Claudia Thiel and Anke Brausch openly come out as women over 30 – perhaps even over 40.

After years of not fitting into the "bride schema" of men, they are still waiting for that decisive leap into the relationship train. Are they headed towards nowhere, will they stop at the "station of love," or has the train already left? How long will they have to stand on the siding? Sleeper cars, express trains, or even narrow-gauge railways – they have certainly tried plenty over the past years. Or have they simply ended up together in the end?

At the same time, the two of them are fighting daily on the front lines of real life and are beginning to set the tracks for the legendary midpoint of life. Also joining them are the beloved stage characters of Weibsbilder. Should we be worried about the perpetually drinking Britta being run over? Because she, too, wants to secure a place on the love train. Just like her, farmer Christel Müller is still single. No one wants to disappear with her in her renovated milking room. The only one providing a youthful contrast in the program of the two artists is the always 7-year-old Tineke. As wise beyond her years and as life-like as ever, she tackles the issues of the time.
