Women’s Stories at the Jewish Cemetery in Worms

As part of the "Wednesdays in Rheinhessen" series, the cultural and wine ambassadors invite you on Wednesday, April 22nd, to a guided tour of the oldest Jewish cemetery in Europe, "Heiliger Sand," in Worms. With the SchUM cities (Mainz, Worms, Speyer), it was recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2021 due to its nearly 1000 years of continuous use. This tour will focus not only on general information but also on women: traditions, stories, and gravestones.

The tour begins at 3:00 PM in front of the cemetery (Willy-Brandt-Ring 21).

Male visitors are requested to bring a head covering.

Participation costs 10,- €/person and requires prior registration (Tel. 0160/99220016).
