From the top note to the head cinema: On April 18 and 19, 2026, the Kunsthaus Prinz Carl in Worms invites you once again to a special exhibition experience. After the successful premiere last November, "ART AND PERFUME" is entering its second round.
See art, smell fragrance – and rethink both: The artists, together with fragrance experts Klaus Stocker and Jürgen Kautenburger from the "House of Fragrances" in Worms, have assembled a bouquet for the senses. On three floors, accessible by stairs and elevator, a new dimension of art life unfolds as works by Ralf Löhr, Claudia Manstein, Ruth Bauermann, Horst Rettig, Thorsten Salamon, Anita Reinhard, Atelierblau, and the tastefully furnished tango salon by Stephan Prinz are complemented by selected niche perfumes.

The works are thus perceivable not only visually but also olfactorily. Smelling can also influence seeing – and vice versa; depending on the top note, the head cinema changes. Visitors experience art in a more diverse, dimensional, intense, and immediate way – often surprisingly different from what they are used to in classical exhibitions.

Beyond seeing and smelling, the exhibition also engages other senses: On the third floor, the tango salon LA BOHÈME invites you to linger with music, drinks, as well as coffee and cake. Favorite fragrances and art can be discovered and purchased on-site.
"ART AND PERFUME – Edition 2" offers the opportunity to experience art not only as visible but also as odorous, and to engage directly with the artists and other guests – and thereby perhaps discover a whole new, personal relationship to the works on display.
