TWOGETHER – Two artistic positions in dialogue

The artists will be personally present on Sunday, 06.09. from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will gladly guide visitors through the exhibition if interested.

While Ulrike Gaiser searches for naturalness and inner sources of strength in her material-rich, archaic surfaces, Utaellamarie Peter creates color-intensive, surreal worlds between reality and fantasy. Together, their works open spaces for perception, reflection, and new perspectives on our world.
Ulrike Gaiser lives and works in the Taunus region. After an initial career in banking, she dedicated herself entirely to art and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kolbermoor, where she was a master's student of Gabriele Musebrink. In her work, the search for naturalness and authenticity as access to one's inner source of strength is central. Using marble flour, marsh lime, pigments, and earths, she creates multi-layered, relief-like surfaces whose cracks, breaks, and traces express a deep honesty. Her works feel like quiet, meditative spaces that reflect inner processes and organic growth.
Utaellamarie Peter approaches the world in a completely different way. After many years as a chemical engineer in environmental protection, she chose the path of art and completed training at independent art academies. In her color-intensive, mostly figurative acrylic and oil paintings, surreal worlds full of fantasy, whimsy, and subtle irony emerge. Her works reflect being in the here and now – sometimes seriously, sometimes with a wink of humor.
Utaellamarie Peter lives and works near Alzey and organizes the group kunstraum-alzey.
Despite the differences in materiality and pictorial language, both artists share an interest in perception and personal positioning in a complex present. TWOGETHER makes visible how two contrasting artistic approaches enter into dialogue with one another, opening up new perspectives in the process.
