Following the great success of the series "Hechtsheim and its Winemakers," cultural and wine ambassador Jörg-Michael Meschkat will be offering wine hikes to the Hechtsheim wineries again in 2026. This year, the starting point will be the Zehnerhof at Grauelstraße 1 in Mainz-Hechtsheim. The event will kick off on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 6:00 PM. The Zehnerhof impresses, among other things, with the vault of the historic cow stalls and the over 100-year-old red wine vine at the house.
Jörg-Michael Meschkat will first guide the guests along the over 800-year-old vineyard in Kirchenstück and will provide detailed information about the origins of wine. During the vineyard tour, there will be a tasting of a wine from the Zehnerhof winery. At the end of the tour, guests will return to the Zehnerhof, where the oenologist Martina Lemb-Geist will thoroughly introduce her winery. During the presentation, there will be a tasting of 4 additional wines accompanied by a matching light snack.
The cost for this tour is 28 euros per person (in advance). The number of participants is limited to a total of twenty-five guests.

Meeting point for the tour: 6:00 PM directly at the tram stop Jägerhaus
