Siegfried's Nibelungen Inflamation

Siegfried's Nibelungen Inflamation presents the life and death of the blonde hero Siegfried of Xanten in a medieval festival of fools. The source is the Nibelungenlied, a heroic epic compiled around 1200 A.D. from various legends, inflated with half-truths and “Teutonic” wishes. The puppets are irreverently constructed from old kitchen utensils, tin cans, bicycle parts, and various bits and pieces. They are carried on long poles like halberds, ironically emphasizing the seemingly heroic content of the saga.
