Mainzer Weinmarkt 2026

At the end of August and the beginning of September, the Mainz city park traditionally becomes the first point of contact for all wine lovers in Rheinhessen and beyond. For on these weekends, the spacious green area with the rose garden provides the romantic backdrop for the largest wine festival in Mainz. Around 100 exhibitors welcome approximately 300,000 visitors in the capital of Rheinland-Pfalz.

Wines from Mainz and Rheinhessen, as well as from the Rheingau or Nahe, can be tasted at the wine market. One can also enjoy the sparkling wine festival in the rose garden or on one of the large meadows with the #mainzgefühl picnic package.

The strolling wine tasting, a wine walk including tasting at nine different stalls, is once again part of the program this year.

Those interested in handicrafts will find a great spot at the artists' market in the rose garden.
