Neigelböhlen - Jazz, Poesie und Lyrik

The two thoroughbred musicians met many years ago while studying in Mannheim. They now live in Berlin and Cologne, and their shared love for jazz music and the poetry of the 20th century led to the creation of this very special duo. With their own compositions, they rediscover German and English texts from, for example, Rainer Maria Rilke, Robert Frost, or Edgar Allen Poe, give them musical interpretations, and arrange unusual songs from the "Great American Song Book" or great jazz artists like Bill Evans for themselves, which contain wonderful poetry. A real discovery for fans of music and language away from the mainstream and a fantastic concert offering shortly after the nationwide day of reading on November 21, 2026.

Reunion creates joy! Stephanie Neigel grew up in Rheinhessen and was awarded the ScheuPreis by the city of Alzey in 2023. For the concert with Sebastian Böhlen and a singing workshop on November 29, 2026, she is finally returning to her hometown.
