Worms is THE court and imperial city of the Middle Ages. No other city hosted the heads of various dynasties more frequently:
The Merovingian queen Brunichild resided here, and the city was considered the main residence of Charlemagne. Henry IV demanded the Pope's resignation in Worms, which led to the walk to Canossa and later the Investiture Conflict. For Frederick I Barbarossa, the city had almost the character of a capital: this is where his most frequent stays and court days north of the Alps took place.
On this tour, guides provide insights into significant historical events and their locations.
The meeting point for participants is Weckerlingplatz.
The offer is aimed at individual guests and small groups of up to 6 people.
