Who doesn't remember the beautiful evenings at KulturGUT with Ménage à Trois featuring songs by Joni Mitchell or the tribute to the wonderful Rickie Lee Jones? That was the first opportunity for the two exceptional musicians Markus Gahlen and Uli Kringler to unleash their musical talents together. Along with Elke on vocals and Roland Kalus on guitar and sound, they enchanted the audience in the cozy courtyard of KulturGUT. It's great that they joined forces, as they now present their new duo project. Of course, the guitars are at the forefront, but multi-instrumentalist Kringler conjures up ethereal sounds and supports the clear, beautiful voice of Markus Gahlen. Both are among the country's sought-after studio guitarists and have enriched the music of Pe Werner, Edo Zanki, Wolfgang Niedecken, Ulla Meinecke, and Roger Cicero or refined productions by Carpendale, Kaiser, Kraus, and others. As a side note, Markus Gahlen also achieved a chart hit with "Everytime (The Flames)." Naturally, if the two are already visiting KulturGUT, the hostess Elke won't need much convincing and will share her beautiful voice on one or two songs, while Roland, as the opener, will take a trip into Celtic fingerstyle territory.
