He has toured across Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and North America, earning much acclaim for his sublime performances of lute music from the 16th and 17th centuries to jazz standards, blues, Irish reels, and groundbreaking original compositions. The acclaimed guitarist Tommy Emmanuel has also taken Clive on tour, and everyone from classical guitarist John Williams to Madonna, Guy Ritchie, Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli, and the Sultan of Oman have praised Clive's musicianship. Guitar legend John Renbourn became his mentor, and alongside his solo albums - "Sixth Sense," "The Red Guitar" (which Tommy Emmanuel calls one of his "Desert Island Discs!"), "Life in Colour," and "The Furthest Tree" - Clive has composed music for television and film. He wrote the music for the film "Driving Lessons," which stars Julie Walters and Rupert Grint from Harry Potter, and has been involved in recordings for Lord of the Rings and many more. Most recently, he made waves with the double album “The Abbot,” on which he reinterpreted the music of John Renbourn, elevating the already brilliant compositions to a new level. Clive is now performing at KulturGUT for the 12th time, solidifying his place in the "Inner Circle" of our beloved venue's artists.
