There are voices that claim Stephanie Neigel knows the stage of KulturGUT better than her own living room. Well, that might be an exaggeration, but for over 11 years, Stephanie has been regularly coming by to enchant the Rheinhessen audience time and time again. She first appeared back then with her a cappella quartet "Les Brünettes" in Bechtolsheim. People still remember that Elke Diepenbeck introduced "Les Brünettes" as four young ladies on their way to world fame. Well, the ladies enjoy performing in the Elphi in Hamburg just as much as they do, together with the WDR Big Band, in the Cologne Philharmonic. The step to the Royal Albert Hall is not far off either.
However, Stephanie Neigel doesn’t need a grand setting to captivate people with her beautiful voice. One should remember the intimate concerts she held in a duo with Daniel Stelter or in a trio with the magical Tommy Baldu on drums. Together with Kosho from the Söhnen Mannheims, she rocked the small stage just as much with her band. She simply has a knack for great songs and the right musical partners. Her connection to her homeland is not only shown by her receiving the Scheu Prize from the city of Alzey; her commitment as a singing instructor is outstanding as well. Whether at the Cologne University of Music, in Freiburg, or occasionally for the youth at the music school in Alzey.
This time, one of the outstanding guitarists of our country, Hanno Busch, will be joining. Many know Hanno as the guitarist for the "Heavy Tones" or the Jan Delay Band. That he is also a professor of guitar at the Cologne University of Music may not seem so important to the listener at first, but it shows that a profoundly skilled musician stands by Stephanie’s side, enhancing her songs. Here, two people simply have fun making great music. So, there will be a "Best of" from Neigel's four solo albums and of course works from the hopefully soon-to-be-released new album. It remains exciting on the small stage of KulturGUT.
