Yes! ROCKWOOD is a cover band! But a cover band like you rarely find in Germany or even in all of Europe. Because the band, consisting solely of experienced professional musicians, manages not only to stand up to the trendiest tribute bands in the rock genre, but even to the original artists themselves. And they do this completely without costumes or elaborate show effects, relying solely on the high quality of their musical performance. The band's strengths are, on the one hand, their variety of hits from the most popular decades in rock, the 70s, 80s, and 90s, and, on the other hand, the high musical, instrumental, and vocal level at which they present these hits.

Even the most demanding songs by bands like Queen, Toto, or Pink Floyd, which other bands wouldn’t dare touch, are presented with such attention to detail that it leaves you in awe. At the front line, their secret weapon is a singer of a caliber rarely found in this country: Hagen Grohe, who recorded an album in 2009 with none other than Joe Perry, the lead guitarist of the most successful American rock band Aerosmith, and subsequently toured across the USA, Canada, and the UK with “The Joe Perry Project.” He interprets the greatest voices in rock with an apparent ease: Whether it's Freddy Mercury (Queen), Jon Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), David Coverdale (Deep Purple/Whitesnake), Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin), Bon Scott (ACDC), or Steve Perry (Journey).

Always authentic and true to the original, but never imitating, rather with his own world-class rock voice. But the other band members also deliver performances at an absolutely world-class level on their respective positions: Rainer Peters (bass), Ralph Winter (drums), and Roland Büttgen (guitar) have experienced many years of international tours and performances with countless well-known artists as professional musicians in the Bundeswehr Big Band. Singer Kerstin Bauer studied classical singing in New York, and guitarist and singer Peter Fischer was long involved with the band “Die orthopädischen Strümpfe” of schlager star Guildo Horn and tours among others with comedy star Mirja Boes.

And together they share a passion and an uncompromising standard for themselves: namely, to revive the unforgettable songs of the rock legends on stage as they deserve!
