The pieces of Mainz bass player and composer Vroni Frisch invite you on an atmospheric journey, where the songs always take center stage but are allowed to develop anywhere. They sometimes take excursions into classical and cinematic sounds and are an essence of different influences and styles with a penchant for grand gestures, where the tension from composed and improvised elements plays a significant role in the live moment. As a sought-after bass sidewoman in jazz, pop, crossover, and composer for big bands, Vroni is now focusing on the quartet setting in which she expresses her musical visions with lyrical melodies, exciting harmonies, intricate rhythms, and rich grooves. To achieve this, she has gathered musical companions around her and her 6-string electric bass and lets the flow, joy of playing, and magic moments unfold freely with them.
