Weihnachtskonzert "Nordlichter"

This year's Christmas concert takes the Swinging Voices' audience to the far north: Snow enchants the landscape in a festive way and the Northern Lights illuminate the sky in many colors. The choir wants to bring this atmosphere to Rheinhessen and has therefore included Swedish Christmas songs in the program.

The two concert dates fall on the weekend when the Lucia Festival is celebrated in Sweden. Led by Saint Lucia with her wreath of lights, the procession follows, bringing light into the darkness with many candles. This Nordic custom is similar to our Christmas celebration, where the candle-decorated Christmas tree brightens the darkness. Thus, the choir will also sing Christmas songs from Germany, France, and England to provide the audience with auditory enjoyment and anticipation of Christmas.

The concert evening concludes with a social gathering.
The concert takes place on Sunday, December 14, at the Protestant Church in Guntersblum.
It starts at 6 PM, with admission from 5:30 PM.

Admission is free, and donations are welcome. No registration required.
