One always thinks it is taken for granted that the Romans brought viticulture over the Alps, but it was not entirely self-evident, as there were Roman vintners south of the Alps who were quite opposed to it. How everything happened as it had to and what we still have of it today will be told by Petra Fluhr and the Tom Bombadil Folkband in words and music
