Sand beaches and palm trees characterized the bays of the Alzey region 30 million years ago. Sharks, manatees, turtles – what else swam in the Rheinhessen Sea? In line with the museum evening the night before, we will head out to explore the coastline – it is indeed still visible in the terrain. Back at the Museum Alzey, the original fossils will be examined. A communal dinner concludes the workshop on Saturday evening.
Weatherproof clothing and sturdy footwear are necessary.
