In the summer of love 1967, a band was formed that would take the world on a musical trip in the following years, filled with wavering sounds, mystical sound orgies, psychedelic listening experiences, and purple beams of light: Pink Floyd. Already on their debut album The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, the four Englishmen demonstrated with their experimental instrumental piece Interstellar Overdrive where the journey would lead. 30 years later – summer 1997: Interstellar Overdrive takes material form in the Wiesbaden band of the same name. Initially regarded as an insider tip, the band evolves over the following years into a unique experience. The six musicians have made it their mission to captivate their audience with the mystical, otherworldly sounds of Pink Floyd. Thus, they repeatedly embark on a journey through time and space with many often far-traveling lovers of Floyd’s art, allowing the music of the masters of psychedelic rock to bloom anew. With great attention to detail and love for the music, Interstellar Overdrive is dedicated to the already classically recognized material of the Floyds. Numerous works from The Piper at the Gates of Dawn to the 1979 released album The Wall can be experienced at every concert of the Pink Floyd authenticators. With great dedication, entire albums like Dark Side Of The Moon, Animals, or Wish You Were Here are performed in their entirety. The lighting tailored to the music allows the listeners to immerse themselves in the warm atmosphere of magnificent music and gently float above the ground for a few hours.
