In the orientation stage, the sense of community in the classroom is continuously fostered through an introductory trip and regular training in social skills in cooperation with our school social worker. With the school profile "Fit for the Future," the educational orientation of OHS is aptly described as a beneficial connection between sports and career.
Foreign Language Offer:
In addition to English, the elective subject French starting from grade 6 allows for the acquisition of a second foreign language for a possible transition to the upper school of the IGS or a gymnasium after grade 10.
Special Features:
Career orientation is highly valued at OHS Westhofen. Already in grade 6, introductory offers through the elective subjects WuV, HuS, IB, and TuN provide first insights into the working world. With the competence workshop in grade 7, a total of three two-week internships in grades 8 and 9, and practical day classes in grade 9, students have the opportunity to get to know their interests and abilities and take them into account when choosing a career. A variety of activities (career fair, application training, corporate etiquette, etc.) with the numerous partner companies of OHS Westhofen enrich the school day.
