Wine Tasting with Chauffeur - Conveniently from Winery Gate to Winery Gate!

This experience promises the third edition of the Winery-Hopping Event by Maxime Herkunft Rheinhessen e.V., which will take you on a journey to 4 locations, 9 stops, 60 winemakers, and 350 different wines on July 6th and 7th, 2024!

During this unique gourmet tour through Rheinhessen, the hop-on-hop-off shuttle will take you to each of the 9 participating wineries in and around Nierstein. There, you'll have the opportunity to hop off at your leisure and, in a unique atmosphere, get to know wines from around 60 winemakers from the region.

The Event

The Maxime Open Festival takes place on July 6th and 7th from 11 am to 6 pm around Nierstein, inviting you to discover around 350 wines and their makers at wineries in Nierstein, Schwabsburg, Weinolsheim, and Dexheim. On Saturday, July 6th, you can really let loose at the halftime party starting at 6 pm at Weingut Raddeck, high above Nierstein, with live music, food, a select wine bar, and the Maxime winemakers.

The tickets

You have the choice of how you want to shape your Maxime Open experience! With the combination ticket Maxime Open 2024 + Maxime Club, you not only get access to either one or both festival days, but you can also enjoy the halftime party starting at 6 pm with live music, food, a select wine bar, and the Maxime winemakers at Weingut Raddeck after the vineyard-hopping on July 6th (€50-70 per person). For those who prefer to skip the halftime party, the single ticket for Maxime Open 2024 offers full access to the wineries on July 6th and/or 7th (€35-55 per person). Sales end on July 1st!

Where does Maxime Open 2024 take place?

The festival will be held on July 6th and 7th, 2024, at a total of 9 wineries in 4 locations around Nierstein. With the hop-on-hop-off shuttle bus, you can conveniently visit the wineries and hop off or continue as you please, tasting around 350 wines from 60 winemakers in the region.

How do I get to the event?

By train:

Arrival and departure via Nierstein train station. The S-Bahn usually runs every half hour between Mainz Hbf and Mannheim Hbf. For more information, visit www.bahn.de.

By car:

From Mainz or Worms, take Bundesstraße B9 directly to Nierstein. From Alzey/Bad-Kreuznach (west), take B420 to Nierstein. Coming from the east, the Rhine ferry "Landskrone" connects Kornsand on the Hessian side with the town of Nierstein in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Parking:

Free parking spaces that are open 24/7 can be found both along the Rhine and at the train station in Nierstein.

How do I get from one winery to another?

Throughout the entire event period, shuttle buses will be in operation to guide you on your culinary route through Nierstein, Schwabsburg, Weinolsheim, and Dexheim. Upon check-in, you will receive a wristband that grants access to the wineries and festival buses. The shuttle buses operate in a loop, with boarding and disembarking following the hop-on-hop-off principle, and is possible at each participating winery and designated festival stops. Each stop is serviced regularly.
