On the outskirts of Mainz, between Gonsenheim and Drais, the Draisberghof has become a popular meeting point for people from the region. Where around 200 hobby gardeners grow their own organic vegetables on city vegetable plots, encounters, conversations, and shared moments of enjoyment arise amidst the greenery.
The farm has its own vineyards and produces its own wine. The wines can be experienced at events such as “Jazz & Wine” or “Vino Kino,” as well as during regular tastings in the wine garden. Among the vines, fields, and expansive views of the landscape, everyday life can be left behind for a few hours.
Homemade snacks are offered, but many guests also bring their own picnic, making themselves comfortable on the grounds. Families appreciate the spacious outdoor areas where children can play and explore nature.
