"Auf leisen Sohlen": Lesung der Landschreiber

"I feel a tickle creeping up on me, the evil comes on silent feet."

Since Shakespeare's times, it has been known that it doesn't always bode well when it is - suspiciously? - quiet. That's why not everyone loves the deep tranquility; some prefer the clamor of the world. But when all noises lose their energy and withdraw, what comes then? Restlessness or even fear? Love and temptation? Misfortune and ruin?
Whatever may come on silent feet, the land scribes have pondered this, and their thoughts have flowed from their pens into stories.
