The presentation focuses on personal archaeological research in caves, villages, and ruin hills between Iraq, Turkey, and Iran. This mountainous area is the birthplace of agriculture and animal husbandry, writing and statehood, as well as the oldest palaces and temples. What can be learned there for the archaeology of Rhineland-Palatinate?
The lecture with Prof. Dr. Tim Kerig lasts about one hour.
No registration is required.
The museum is accessible.
Admission is free.
The lecture in the "Museum Evening" series is jointly organized by the Antiquities Association for Alzey and Surroundings e.V., the District Adult Education Center (KVHS) Alzey-Worms, and the Alzey Museum.
